Arts at the Arms

Arts at the Arms is a performing arts organisation based in Yorkshire aiming to support local creatives share their practice. They aim to showcase original theatre, music and comedy - developing talent from our region in a relaxed setting. They needed a brand that kept it's low-fi roots, but could confidently join the Leeds fringe theatre scene, as well as provide a credible backdrop for funding bids.

Chris O’Connor, Co-Founder

“I have no doubt that Sarah's designs have been a key part of the success of Arts At The Arms. Sarah really gets the industry we work in and having such a professional looking brand has helped us reach more and more people, as well as help us get noticed by local media.

I think for an emerging arts organisation, how your brand looks really can be make or break as to whether you are successful or not. Thankfully we had Sarah!”

Social media posts showcased individual acts, providing links to their own social channels and built momentum in the run up to an event.

For the programmes, we utilised GF Smith Colorplan with a single ink print (either black or white). This keep costs lower while still creating a unique guide for each run of events, which have since become momentos for audience members and performers alike.

Merchandise to celebrate the create, share (and inspire) cycle of Arts at the Arms…

As the events grew, so did the brand, and extended into a podcast ‘Introducing’ series as well as workshops with the ambition to further promote and help grow the talent in the region.
